A leading production house pulled off a casting coup when it announced that Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff would feature in a film to be helmed by Bang Bang (2014) director, Siddharth Anand. The action-drama acquired further attention when the names of Katrina Kaif and Kareena Kapoor Khan as the leading ladies were tossed around. Interestingly, Kaif and Khan have a competitor in Yami Gautam, who is also apparently vying for a spot in the film.
Sources suggest that Roshan is keen to pair up with his Kaabil co-star, Gautam, again. "The role requires the female actor to perform action sequences, and Yami has the lithe frame to pull them off convincingly. Hrithik and Yami shared a good working relationship during Kaabil, and it is speculated that he suggested her name for the film," the source says, quick to add that the makers have yet to arrive at a decision.
The currently untitled venture chronicles the bond between a teacher and student, to be played by Roshan and Shroff respectively. Their relationship turns sour, sparking off a fued. It is set to release on January 25, 2019.
While Gautam hasn't had a release after Kaabil, Roshan has Vikas Bahl's Super 30, a biopic on mathematician Anand Kumar, in his kitty.
