Rumours abound that they will commit suicide in Kites like the Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak couple
The buzz around Kites is that Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori play characters who commit suicide in the film. As seen in the trailer, both the mafia and the cops are chasing the couple in love. But what the rumour mills are working overdrive saying is that, by the end of the film, Hrithik and Barbara's characters realise that they have way to escape their pursuers, but to die and so jump off a cliff into the raging sea. However, Kangna Ranaut, who appears in a cameo, does not die in the film.
Other films where the lead couples die a tragic death are Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Heer Ranjha and Sohni Mehwal.
