Last Friday's release, Jattu Engineer has been successful in leaving the audience in splits while delivering unique messages on organic farming, self development and employment generation. A perfect blend of laughter, drama, dialogues, storyline and direction, the film features several new faces, who are bang-on with their comic timing and expressions. MSG, too, has proved his mettle in a comedy role.
The opening scene welcomes the audience to a world of chaos - the messy village of Tatiyakar, whose dwellers make you wonder, laugh and feel disgusted at the same time. Their saviour is Jatt Headmaster, Shakti Singh Sisodia aka Jattu Engineer. He chalks out a plan to be one among the villagers and change their lives for good.
Then comes a character who loves to laugh and make others laugh by Thuk Laa Ke, the mischievous Sghaint Singh Sidhu. His humorous ways keep you rolling with laughter from start to end.
These two characters that are poles apart eventually set the stage for a massive change in the village. But there's a villain in the village - the sarpanch, who along with his goons, is against development. How does the headmaster deal with him? That's for you to find out in the theatres.
This clean family drama bagged five Asia Book Records before its release and beckons you to join in the laugh riot. The film has been directed by the father-daughter duo, Saint Dr Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan and Honeypreet Insan.
