Dev Patel's ex-girlfriend, Freida Pinto, took to Instagram to wish him for his Oscar nomination. She wrote, "So proud of you. A fine example of what hard work, focus, humility and talent rewards one with." Dev was barely 18 when he met Freida while filming Slumdog Millionaire (2008).
They ended their relationship in 2014, but have been cordial with each other. The actor says he "grew up" with her.
