A nice stroll on the streets of Paris or a lovely candlelight dinner by the beach is Emraan Hashmi's idea of a romantic evening. "And a perfect kiss is the one that's truly felt," says Bollywood's serial kisser.

Back from a holiday in Malaysia, a refreshed Emraan is now looking forward to his next release where he plays a love guru. Emraan gives his take on love:

Fresh start
This is my first romantic comedy and I am very kicked about it. After portraying intense brooding characters for quite awhile, it feels nice to start the year on a lighter note. I always felt that Madhur (Bhandarkar) was a very serious person just like this films, but that's so not true. He has a great sense of humour and we gelled wonderfully. The whole cast had a blast making this film.

Love actually
To me, the meaning of love is companionship, friendship and a sense of comfort with someone special. Love is when someone trusts you completely and vice versa. It is a very intense emotion. I cannot define it (laughs). When it comes to romantic comedies, I don't enjoy the run-of-the-mill fairytale romance kind of stories. I loved the film, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, so you can say I like bizarre love stories.

And like any other man, I too give out advice in real life. We often give suggestions to one another. Sometimes, they work and sometimes they don't. But you can never be an expert on love. However you try, there will always be confusion. When I see parents fixing a love-cum-arranged marriage, I find it hilarious.

I have heard of situations where friends get numbers from their parents and are told to follow up so that they can fall in love and eventually marry. Now, what sort of a matrimonial idea is this?u00a0u00a0

Casanova, who me?
Well, I have played the role of a Casanova quite often, but I have never been a skirt chaser in my real life. It's not shocking when people take me for a playboy, as audiences form their perceptions after seeing my films. All my relationships have been serious, committed ones.

I think I carry off the role of a Casanova very well because I genuinely love women (laughs out loud). I am selfless in my love and admiration for women. On a serious note, I have great respect for the women in my life, and I have never ever broken a girl's heart.
