Lal Bhatia
Banker-author-turned-producer of boutique wines and olive oil, Lal Bhatia also dabbled in production of films and documentaries. The filmmaker came into limelight with his book, Indicting Goliath: The Continuing Real Life Saga of an Immigrant.
After receiving his bachelor's degree from the Calcutta University in 1987, he pursued masters in Business Administration from the Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, Hawaii in 1996. Bhatia has over 33 years of business strategy and management experience.
He recently turned creative producer for a music video titled Samjho Bharatvasi which was supported by the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India. The video that received one million views within 48 hours encouraged citizens to follow the COVID-19 protocols. Besides that, he came on board as a creative producer for a public awareness film for the Bidhannagar police by Barking Crow Films, which stressed on the importance of wearing a mask in public.
In July this year, he produced a short film, Panaah with the support of National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi, India for which he received an award from one of the leading newspapers in the country.

Reminiscing his life journey, Bhatia says, "Despite experiencing agony, pain and financial upheaval, I managed to survive with God's grace and sheer determination. Had it not been for God's blessings and my will power, I would not have come so far. When you fearlessly focus on your passion without holding yourself back, you can defeat any Goliath in your life."
