The makers of 'Udta Punjab' recently shot a promotional video for the film with lead actor Shahid Kapoor. But if sources are to be believed, the actor insisted that several portions of it be reshot since he wasn't too happy with the results. The makers tried to convince him but in vain, and had to eventually give in to his demand while incurring huge losses, claims a source.

The video, which features the film's title track, had been shot at Film City.
Says a source, "On the first day of the shoot, Shahid completed his portions and went home. When he returned to the set the next morning, he was keen to see the results. But what he saw on the monitor was not to his liking at all. He demanded a reshoot, which eventually had to be organised. The makers suffered monetary loss of about Rs 70 lakh."

Adds the source, "Shahid is known for his dancing prowess and wants nothing but the best. He wanted his buddy, choreographer Bosco (of the Bosco-Caesar duo) to take charge of the music video during the reshoot. The video director, who had been specially hired for the shoot, was shown the door."
When asked about the incident, the star's publicist, who is also handling the film, maintains, "Shahid and everyone else was happy with the shoot and no reshoot took place."
