'Finish shooting all my scenes' were Farooque Shaikh’s last words to the makers of his film
Farooque Shaikh did not want trouble for anyone," says producer Vashu Bhagnani whose Youngistan will be the last film the late actor was part of. "He had completed his portion of the shoot before he left for Dubai," says the filmmaker.
Faroouque Shaikh
Shaikh plays a politician in the film which stars Jackky Bhagnani and Neha Sharma.
On the day of his death, co-star Boman Irani tweeted, "Shot with him last month. Had the warmest conversation and were to meet here in Indore today. Was to join us from Dubai." But Shaikh had already shot his portion of the scene before he left for his holiday.
The debutant director of the film, Syed Ahmad Afzal says, "Farooqueji had shot the scene with us beforehand. He had told me, âMere sab scenes shoot kar lo' and we did. What we were to do on the day Bomanji tweeted was his reaction to Farooque Shaikh."
There is supposedly a scene in the film in which Farooque makes his friend speak to a superstar on the telephone and eventually meet the actor.
Bhagnani informs, "We are in talks with one of the top actors of Bollywood who will do a guest appearance in the film. But Farooque saab had even done the voice-over for those portions before he left for Dubai."
Though Bhagnani refused to divulge the name of the actor, Shah Rukh Khan on the day of his demise tweeted, "My biggest regret that I never got to spend time with you, Faroukh sahib, as I had requested. Should have done it earlier. I feel so sorry."
So we are guessing that it could be Shah Rukh who was approached for the guest appearance in the film.
Even that scene can be shot because Shaikh has already shot it with his back to the camera, so once the star is finalised, they will be able to complete the scene."
