Deepika Padukone is getting praises for her role in Padmaavat from all circles. Her role has been critically acclaimed and the film is opening to packed houses as well.
Inspite of the film being embroiled in controversies, the movie is still being watched and loved by audiences. The movie has also found a lot of fan frenzy internationally and is raking in moolah even in the international box-offices. However, the shocking praises for her role seemed to have come from her ex-boyfriend's parents, Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor. Deepika and Ranbir dated for a while, post which they weren't on talking terms for a long time. Deepika had run into trouble with Rishi and Neetu, when she took jibes at Ranbir and his 'philandering' ways on 'Koffee With Karan' along with Sonam Kapoor. But Dippy let bygones be bygones and now shares a cordial relationship with Ranbir Kapoor.
While the Kapoor family extended an olive branch to Deepika, Rishi made a guffaw. Rishi Kapoor posted an insensitive joke about Ranveer Singh and Padmaavat and it seems like his wife wants to make amends. Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor sent Deepika a bouquet of flowers and congratulated her on her ground-breaking role in the film.
