Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's 'first look' from Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' that went viral on social media is fake, confirms the film's casting director Shruti Mahajan.
Recently, a sketch featuring Deepika Padukone's apparent 'first look' from 'Padmavati' began doing the rounds on the internet.
The drawing gained credibility because apparently it had been posted first on the official Facebook page of Padmavati's casting director Shruti Mahajan. Shruti, however, took to social media to clarify that the page was not her official one and that the look was not real.
Here's what Shruti Mahajan posted on Facebook:
The sketch portrayed Deepika Padukone wearing a traditional outfit and jewellery that gave her a royal look.
The artist who made the drawings said that it was based entirely on his imagination, and that he hadn't claimed that it was the actress' look in 'Padmavati'.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is set to begin work on Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavati' with a song. Word is, the actress will perform the traditional ghoomar dance for her first shot, and has been rehearsing to get her footwork right. (Read more)
