These days, gadgets and consoles seem to have replaced guitars and piano. Taking a cue from this interest, True School of Music (TSM) is hosting Frank McWeeny - better known as French Toast, his online radio moniker in London - for a workshop this week.

McWeeny, who has worked with legends like Gilles Peterson (a veteran DJ and a record label owner inâu00c2u0080u00c2u0088England), is going to enlighten the students on DJ sets, key mixing and looping. "He is one of the knowledgeable music presenters. He mixes music and speaks about it on his online frequency, which is not available in India. He may play samples to cite examples. Frank will be discussing DJ techniques and production in detail," informs Kedar Sakharkar, a faculty member in the DJ department at TSM.

These master classes are held once in three months. "Since we also have crash courses (15 to 30 days), those students can also benefit from such workshops," he adds.

There will be an open interaction with the students at the end. McWeeny being in a dual role (a radio host and club DJ), he will speak on live performances too.
