I wake up and read the papers. Normally, I dread both the content as well as the quality of writing in most.

8 am: I wake up and read the papers. Normally, I dread both the content as well as the quality of writing in most. This time, I read through with joy and expectation. Yesterday was a fantastic day for sport.

10.30 am: Dermatologist meeting. She tells me the best way to rectify the permanent bruises under my eyes (I broke my nose for the fourth time last year, leaving bad bruising under my eyes) is to surgically remove them. Not the eyes, the bruises. The surgeon's in New York. Thinking about it.

Clipping off bits: Some still grow...

1 pm:
Back at Narayan's studio. Ramdas and I painstakingly approve the design of the 35-page sports auction brochure. One page is dedicated to the sportsperson and the piece she/he is donating, then a note about The Foundation, thank yous etc.

3 pm: Haircut. Don't laugh. Bits of it still grow.

5 pm: 15 km run at the Bombay Gymkhana Club. 30 rounds of the ground. It's purely voluntary, and yes, who said I was sane?

7 pm: Attending a screening of the film I'm proudest of in my body of work 'The Japanese Wife' at the Mohile-Parikh Centre at the NCPA. Q&A follows, compliments come my way, hugs and kisses. Who says an actor's life is hard?

9 pm: Meeting a friend for dinner. The beers are going down too easy. Hmm. Might have a late start tomorrow.
