Ayushmann Khurrana's Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and Vicky Kaushal Bhoot Part 1- The Haunted Ship may have started slow, but picked up the pace at the ticket windows on Day 2! Let's talk about Bhoot first. History says a majority of the horror films in India aren't really received well by the critics. And in recent times, films like Haunted 3D, Raaz- The Third Dimension, and even 1920 are examples, and all went on to do really well commercially.
It seems Vicky Kaushal's Bhoot is also on the same turf. It received mixed reactions from the reviewers, but the response of the audiences on the second day suggests it's on the road to acceptance. Taran Adarsh wrote about the collections and said the film is decent in mass circuits and needs to cover lost ground on Day 3.
