What's it about: A middle-class guy Kunal (Kunal Kemmu) is fed up of being a delivery boy and leading a life of squalor in Mumbai. The furthest he can afford to take his wife Arzoo (Amrita Puri) is Madh Island. He dreams big as he takes flight to Cape Town after landing a lucrative offer in a diamond company. But there is also a price to pay when he realises what his boss Zaveri (Manish Chaudhari) and his brother Dinesh (Sandiip Sikcand) are up to behind the glitter of their sparkling business. There is also a femme fatale Rossa (Mia Uyeda) as their accomplice.

What's hot: The debutant director begins on a convincing note with Zaveri going for the kill for anyone who betrays him. The message is clear that once you are part of his company the only way out is death. Also, when Kunal cracks his first dealu00a0 using common sense much to the chagrin of the others.u00a0

What's not:u00a0The plot is convincing but the execution far from it. You wonder if it is Cape Town or a ghost town? There is no connect to the place or people. Whenever the protagonist is on the streets, the roads are all largely deserted. The scenes only meander from the office to home.

The music, the biggest trademark of any Bhatt flick, misses the mark. What could have been a gripping ride of emotions ends to be some unpolished fare. Kunal tries hard to get into his character while Manish as the baddie is the best of the lot and Sandiip (a permanent fixture in Bhatt films) does his bit of the grey character. There's nothing much for Amrita Puri than to go on a crockery breaking spree when angry and Mia has even less to do than what she wears.

What's that: The heroine wails "Tumhe mere saath Mumbai aana hai. Main vidhwa ho ke nahi jaana chahti," as the hero lies injured. And at some point, he rues, "I s'''''d up" -- exactly what the viewer feels about the movie.

What to do:u00a0 Only if you have time to kill on hand and want to escape the seething heat outside, step into the AC environ for this sparkless fare.
