We know him to be a quality actor, but Nana Patekar is quite a multi-faceted persoanlity. If you didn't already know, he's won a bronze medal at the state level for gun shooting. He's is also a writer and poet. Nana talks to CS about the five things he likes doing in his free-time:
Hot shots
I enjoy riffle shooting. It started off as a hobby and due to crazy film schedules, I couldn't take it up seriously. But now that I a little more free-time at hand, I practice it regularly. I am fairly good at my aim, and have a success rate of 80 per cent.
On a high
I travel a lot. I like to explore the unexplored places, meet new people and make friends. Most of the time the intention behind my trips is to be among common people and to live like them. I would any day prefer the hills to the beaches.
Picture perfect
And since I like travelling so much, I also enjoy photography, especially because I am so close to nature. I like to capture every moment that's special to me. Also photography helps me get my angles right when I am directing a film.
The right note
I like writing whatever is on my mind. It can be a romantic line or a description of a fight that I might have witnessed. I scribble things on paper, and they don't always make sense.
Marathi mania
Reading is one hobby that has helped and enrich my life. I am an avid reader but I mostly read Marathi literature. My favourite writer is V Vu00a0 Shirwadkar alias Kusumagraj.
