Cricketer Bishen Singh's son, Angad waxes eloquent about his recent anchorage to the game and its greats
If you're following the IPL 3 matches, you can't have missed Angad Bediu00a0-- the new host of Extraaa Innings on SET MAX. Cricket runs in the blood of this son of legendary cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi.
Post-match, he is seen bonding with the likes of Preity Zinta and Deepika Padukone. Hosting TV shows isn't something new for Angad, who also anchors the controversial reality showu00a0-- Emotional Atyachar that deals with couple problems. Now as the host of Extraaa he will talk to players, coaches, cricket experts and team owners, in and out of the stadium.
Angad says, "Cricket is my passion and it's natural for me to sit and talk about the game. But my job is not just of being a host but someone who talks to a spectrum of people from experts, to people on the field, to viewers calling in. I will be talking to Ravi Shastri, Yuvraaj Singh and even team members."
He says he hasn't prepped to be a 'sports caster,'u00a0 "Well I am keeping my ears and eyes open. Of course dad's there to help me in every way. I am doing a lot of reading and catching up on the format and rules of the game. It's important to have as much information as possible."
As a fan of the game, Angad has his favourites to win this year. "Delhi Daredevils have a strong team, and a chance of winning. Even the Kolkata Knight Riders are brilliant. You never know, they might just win the tournament."
Apart from hosting the new IPL season, Angad is also working on a film titled Little Godfather produced by Sunil Shetty and Balaji Telefilms.
