Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Yami Gautam, and Divyendu Sharma starrer, Batti Gul Meter Chalu has hit the web. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Batti Gul Meter Chalu shares a story of the current electricity status of India.
In the trailer, Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, and Divyendu Sharma are seen having a fun-filled life, yet struggling for the daily power cuts. The trio, and their generator journey will surely leave you in splits. But their life takes a topsy-turvy turn when Shahid's best friend Divyendu dies in an unnatural circumstance. Divyendu, who runs a factory, gets a huge bill in lakhs for the electricity used for his business.

In many of his interviews, Shahid Kapoor has claimed that Batti Gul Meter Chalu is a very special film for him. The film is shot in Tehri, Rishikesh, Dehradun, and Mussoorie.
Batti Gul Meter Chalu is all set to release on 21st September.
