'Baahubali 2' makes history; crosses Rs 1,000 crore at box-office

SS Rajamouli's magnum opus 'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' made cinematic history with the multi-starrer breaking all box-office records by raking in Rs 1,000 crore, something which is unheard of till now.

'Baahubali 2: The Conclusion' earned close to Rs 346 crore in its opening weekend. The official Twitter account of the film @BaahubaliMovie tweeted the following, "This day will be remembered in the India Cinema History. Thank you all for your great support.. #1000croreBaahubali".

Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar also tweeted in praise of the film's recent record, "The biggest milestone has been reached by the biggest blockbuster of Indian cinema!!!! #1000croreBaahubali @ssrajamouli".

After zooming past the Rs 100 crore mark on its first day of hitting screens in India, the much-awaited movie which piqued the interest of viewers with the question 'Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?', has kept the audience coming in to find out the answer.

The film, featuring Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati and Tamannaah in the lead, released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam in over 6500 screens across India, and in 9000 plus screens worldwide.
