In the past, producers have refrained from releasing moviesu00a0during the IPL season but not any more. Commenting on this, Sippy says that it is a good time as not many films release during these months.
"My last movie Dum Maaro Dum released during IPL and it did fairly well. Even Vicky Donor hit thetheatres at the same time and did great business. Not many movies release in April, therefore there is a good chance that my film will stay for a longer time in cinemas." He adds, "There is no hard and fast rule. If the content is good the audience will watch the movie."
Ayushmann Khurrana, Nautanki Saala's lead actor, agrees, "My debut film released during the same time and did well. Basically a cinema lover will go and watch the movie whether it's IPL time or any other match. Fingers crossed for this movie too."
Producer Bhushan Kumar too is confident about Nautanki Saala's success. He says, "Good films do well irrespective of tough times. We hope to repeat the success of Vicky Donor with our second release."u00a0
