Ayesha Shroff's dad, Air Vice Marshall Ranjan Dutt, 90, passed away last year
Ayesha Shroff's dad, Air Vice Marshall Ranjan Dutt, 90, passed away last year. He was the first test pilot to have flown when he was only 17 years old. Ayesha is extremely proud of her dad's achievement and is planning to start a memorial trust on his name.
Talking about her plans she says, "He's extremely famous in the Air Force for his achievements. My dad was among the select few Indian pilots who were operational and participated in the World War II. I have always been proud of him."
To keep his memory alive, Ayesha has planned to start a trust fund. "We have already applied to register the trust. I want it to be a way of giving back to the Air force and their families. The idea is to put a certain amount in the fund and make it available to the needy. The money can be used for the kids and their education and also to build homes."
Adding that she still gets invited to Air Force functions, she says, "My dad has fought some of the bloodiest battles and even today, stories of his courage do the rounds. Also, I consider myself to be a part of the Air force family for life. I feel starting this fund is my way of doing my duty as a daughter."
