Aruna has apparently been trying to shrug off the scenes in Private Moments saying she had no idea that they would turn out 'so hot'.
It was differentSays a source, "When she was approached for the role, Aruna forgot to tell producer Kumar Taurani and
director Kookie Gulatiu00a0 about her explicit scenes inu00a0 Private Moments. Now she maintains that director Jagmohan Mundhra had narrated a different script, which didn'tu00a0 have so much nudity."
Standard excuseMundhra says, "That's the excuse all actresses give when they want to enter films. I had sent the script through Aruna's agent. Out of the 40 girls who had come to the auditions, out of the top three shortlisted, Aruna was the only one who was completely comfortable with the amount of nudity required in the film. She co-operated throughoutu00a0 and not once raised an issue about the lovemaking scenes.
Mundhra adds that he was the one who gave Aruna's number to Kumar Taurani. "She called me and told me about Prince. I convinced her to do it as it's a big film and opposite Vivek Oberoi. I wish her well."
Looking for attitudeKumar Taurani says, "We were looking for an girl who looked Indian but had international attitude. Someone who could handle bike chases, stunts etc and look glamorous. Aruna fit the bill. I'm happy with the way her role in Prince has turned out."
Aruna says, "Private... is a comedy revolving around the sex lives of four women. It's a chick flick that is referred to, in the UK, as London's version of Sex and the City. Doing steamy scenes is not a big issue over here. It still takes courage though and you can't be self-conscious. It's part of being an actor."
