Unfazed by the failure of the last movie from his banner, Arshad Warsi is planning two more films
Unfazed by the failure of the last movie from his banner, Arshad Warsi is planning two more filmsArshad Warsi's first outing as a producer, Hum Tum Aur Ghost, may have tanked, but he is gearing up to don the production hat yet again.
Circuit is in the process of finalising two projectsu00a0-- a thriller and a sweet romantic love story set in the Fiji islands as the next offerings from his banner.
Special invitationSays a source close to Arshad, "He hasu00a0 been specially invited by the Fiji government to shoot his films there. Currently the actor is shooting for Golmaal 3. In August, he begins Dhamaal 2. He is planning a work-cum-pleasure trip with wife Maria Goretti and his two childrenu00a0-- son Zeke (5) and daughter Zene (3) to Fiji."
Warsi confirms, "My next two films should begin by this year-end. One will be a sweet sweet candy floss romance like Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge which I loved. The other one is a slick action thriller."
Arshad feels it wasn't his director Kabeer Kaushik's fault that Hum Tum Aur Ghost didn't fare well. "It did not belong to Kabeer's genre of films. He is a good director when it comes to serious realistic cinema like Seher and but not with light-hearted romances."
Turning to directionThe actor adds, "I should have directed Hum Tum Aur Ghost myself. I am working on a thriller which I have co-written and plan tou00a0 direct in a couple of years. I will need to take a complete break from acting for a year before I turn director."
