No, it's not the fourth installment of their successful franchise, but Hrishikesh Mukherjee's cult classic featuring Amol Palekar-Bindiya Goswami-Utpal Dutt-Shobha Khote, which they're remaking as Bol Bachchan.

Not surprisingly, Rohit has changed the story in his version starring Ajay, Prachi Desai, Abhishek Bachchan and Asin.

"While the basic idea is the same, we've changed the characters, setting and situations," he says, asserting that he doesn't believe in starting anything on a dishonest note. "It's better to acquire the rights and remake it your own way," he points out.

No doubt about that, since his film is more a rom-com about two pairs of siblings;u00a0 Ajay and Asin, and Abhishek and Prachi.

Ask him if his Golmaal remake will feature his trademark action sequences, more so since Ajay is playing a wrestler and Abhishek is also getting into shape for his character, the director smiles, "Well, a few thrills are there. But the action will be different from what you've seen in Singham.

But yes, there's a car chase sequence in the climax. However, it won't be anything like you've seen in my other films so far."

Nonetheless, Rohit is looking forward to the collections of Singham (reportedly about Rs 100 crore so far) overtaking the figures of Golmaal 3 (Rs 117 crore total net), his last Diwali blockbuster.

"I didn't think it would touch Golmaal 3, but it's going to for sure. I guess, every few years a good story on the cop hero works," he smiles.

Which brings us to our next topic the initial buzz on Singham being a Dabangg wannabe.

He maintains, "We've always said that our film has nothing to do with Dabangg. I won't be surprised if when the next cop movie comes, it will be compared to Singham."
