Ankit Tiwari rocked mid-day's Bollywood night concert

Tu Jo Hain crooner Ankit Tiwari was the highlight of the NRJ Developers present mid-day Musical Night powered by LIC on Sunday at Phoenix Marketcity, Kurla. Executed by 3rd Rock, the event saw a huge turn-out and started with Polish-German actress Claudia Ciesla setting an enthusiastic note as hostess for the night.

Brijesh Shandilya of Banno Tera Swagger fame was the first performer on stage. The ponytailed vocalist had the crowd eating out of his hands with his rendition of Mera Saiyaan Mose Bole Na. He followed the Sufi song with a string of filmi hits including Aaoge Jab Tum (Jab We Met), Ye Jism Hai Toh Kya (Jism 2), Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji (Ishqiya), and of course, his very own dance number, Banno Tera Swagger.

UK-born singer Harshida Madhaparia, better known as Harshi Mad, got the crowd grooving with her electrifying act. Dressed in knee-high boots and a sexy, sequinned dress, she sang the latest party songs, Lovely (Happy New Year), Yaar Na Miley (Kick), Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan (Roy), Baby Doll (Ragini MMS2) and the latest club zinger Kala Chashma (Baar Baar Dekho) apart from a host of other dance-floor hits.

Claudia was back on stage for a fun QnA with the audience about the night's star performer, Ankit Tiwari. He kept the crowd mesmerised with a performance that lasted over two hours. Dressed in black and white, Ankit was in top form. He took the crowd through his favourite songs, Zara Si Dil Mein De Jagah (Jannat), Mitwa (Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna) and Tere Sang Yaara (Rustom).

The crowd went into a tizzy when he dived into classic numbers Humma Humma (Bombay), Urvashi Urvashi (Humse Hai Muqabla) and Tanha Tanha (Rangeela). The audience sang along and, as the tempo of the beats got faster, they got groovin'. The glitzy concert wrapped up at 11 pm as mid-day and all event partners were felicitated for making the gala night a grand success.
