The timing couldn't have been any more obvious. It was World Environment Day yesterday and Big's latest release hopes there are enough eco-warriors out there, who want to make a difference. Well, the heart's in the right place but the message itself comes three years late.

Culled from "almost US President" Al Gore's amiable lectures on global warming around the world, in cities that matter, the documentary also offers personal insights into the personal and professional life of the man who could have been the most powerful man in the world, had destiny and the Supreme court not lent such a cruel blow to his political career.

That said, this isn't propagandist material. The point Gore's trying to make is that we're collectively responsible to clear up the mess we make. Time is of the essence, so we gotta get cracking. With the help of detailed yet lucid slideshows, Gore paints a grimu00a0 picture of a world that will literally go to pieces if we don't clean up our act.

This DVD is packed, thankfully, with an update on the 'special features' segment. There's also a music video that features Melissa Etheridge who croons to I Need To Wake Up.

Also expect a Making Of... section and commentaries by the film's director and producers as an audio option.
Worth the money, if you take the message to heart.
