Devendra Singh Chhabra, Shammi Chhabra, Rupaa and Surjeet Singh
Filmmaker, writer and stand-up comedian Shammi Chhabra is set to present his next venture, Elevator, a bilingual (Hindi and Punjabi). Elevator - A Deadly Lift Experience, is being presented by Chhabra Films, and produced by Devendra Singh Chhabra, Surjeet Singh, Suriender Kaur and Shammi, who has also penned this venture.
The director, whose past films include the comedy, Lucky Kabootar, is returning to filmmaking after four years. Elevator has been shot in Ghaziabad, Noida and Hapur, Uttar Pradesh. Shammi, who is also making his acting debut with this film, will pair up with Bengali actor Rupaa.
The bilingual is a tribute to Shammi's late father Sardar Jaswant Singh Chhabra. The youth-oriented dark thriller carries a social message. Shammi also has three other ventures in the pipeline. Also hopeful about venturing into the digital space, Shammi says he is looking forward to working with new talent.
