Handmade, hand-woven textiles such as scarves and wraps are some of the products that Bailou specialises in. Pushing the boundaries of weaving, techniques like Jamdani, Warp print and Flap (double cloth weaving) are used to create products that are as ingenious as they are utilitarian.

Experts in Batik, wood block printing and textile design, Bappaditya Biswas and his wife Rumi, have made a name in the city of Kolkata for conveying the subtle beauty of woven structures and the endless possibilities of the loom finished textile. His love and dedication for constructing fabric has bought him to this rank of incredible success.

Vaya, the brainchild of Mira Sagar, was founded with support of Gaurang Shah and Bappaditya five years ago. From a humble store in Bandra, Vaya has expanded its textile craft to Gamadia Road and Colaba. Vaya has been a gateway of heritage woven textiles bridging the gap between weavers and the clientele who appreciate Indian textile art. It is the only place in Mumbai where one can find the entire range of Bailou sarees, shawls, stoles and fabrics.
