Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt shared the dreadful experience of shooting for her gang-rape scene in the critically-acclaimed film 'Udta Punjab' during an interview with film critic and host Rajeev Masand.

Alia Bhatt, who earned praise for her performance as Bihari migrant worker in the film, said, "Technically speaking, it was never ever graphic but while shooting... On set you want to be technical about it - 'Haan you come here, then this happens, then we'll do that and I'll scream and...' So the face is all 'Yeah, I'm with it, I'm okay with it because I'm acting'. But actually what's happening inside is 'I want this scene to get over. I just want this whole thing to get over'. There used to be a walk in the lobby - walk to the lift and back to my room during 'Udta Punjab' - I used to dread that walk everyday when I'd be getting out of my room, and I used to love the walk everyday when I'd be coming back to my room. Even though I love my work and my films, it was just weird to be in that situation, but what was most weird was pretending that I was cool on set."

In 'Udta Punjab', Alia Bhatt is seen as a Bihari immigrant trying to break away from the shackles of the drug menace in Punjab. As part of her role, Alia Bhatt brings forward dreams of a Bihari hockey champion, who leaves her hometown in search of fame and success, and gets caught among drug peddlers.

During the show, Sonam Kapoor, too, made a startling revelation of being molested when she was a teenager.

'A man came from behind and held my breasts, I started shivering'

Recently, director Bernardo Bertolucci admitted that actress Maria Schneider wasn't aware of the rape scene in the 1972 film 'Last Tango in Paris' with Marlon Brando prior of the shooting, and that the graphic nature of the scene was improvised on set.
