The actor loses his temper, destroys the camera of a person persistently taking his pictures without permission
For all the convenience they offer, most celebrities would agree that cellphones are a nuisance. They have become yet another tool to invade their privacy. Even Akshay Kumar, known to be the most patient man in the industry, lost his temper at a happy snapper outside a five-star hotel on Sunday night.
Losing patience
The incident took place when the actor and his wife Twinkle left the hotel and were stepping into their car. A man stepped forward from the crowd and started taking their pictures on his cell phone. The actor asked him to stop, as it made his wife uncomfortable, then reprimanded him for not asking permissionu00a0 before taking his pictures. But the man continued to click the star couple, which caused Akki to lose his patience.
An enraged Akshay walked upto the man, snatched his phone from his hand and threw it on the ground, then crushed it to pieces under his foot. Before the stunned cellphone owner could react, the actor got into his car and drove off.u00a0
But he was polite...
However a source close to the Khiladi denies the incident, "Akki would never lose his temper, no matter what the provocation. A guest from the hotel did start taking pictures of Akshay and Tina, and he did get upset, but he could never get angry enough to break someone's phone. He told the man politely that the next time, he should ask for permission before taking pictures and then he left. There was no breaking of phone etc."
The source adds, "Akshay is very particular about his pictures and he always poses for pictures whenever his fans ask him to do so. He always tells people to ask before clicking his pictures as he's very particular about the angle from which he is shot. He just wants to be prepared, that's all.
He finds it rude when people take pictures when he is dining at a restaurant. No one should be clicked while chewing food, as such photos look bad. It's one of AK's pet peeves. He agrees with an actor he is close to, who likened it to stars being animals in cages and people being visitors to the zoo, who feel it's their right to click pictures at random."
You've been warned. Next time you feel the urge to point your phone camera at the actor, don't forget to start with, "May I?"
