The net proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for providing assistance to flood victims.

Rahman, often called the Mozart of Madras, performed to a capacity crowd of 50,000.

Adding a unique flavour was an ensemble of talented playback singers and renowned musicians performing along with A R Rahman including Sivamani, Chitra, Blaaze, Benny Dayal, Sadhana Sargam, Rashid Ali, Shweta Pandit and Neeti Mohan among others.
