Shiva Chauhan used actor's name to mislead and defraud them

Last week, Adhyayan Suman's spot boy Shiva Chauhan was caught red-handed using the actor's name to talk to aspiring actresses and lure them with promises of roles opposite his boss.

This scam was detected last week, when on suspicion of theft, they searched his belongings and found portfolio pictures of wannabe actresses.

Chances to repent

A source close to Adhyayan says, "Shiva was employed as Suman's spot boy for almost a year. He'du00a0 accompany him to the sets quite often. For some time now, Adhyayan suspected him of pinching money.

Recently, when the actor gave him a 1000-rupee note to purchase some stuff from a friend's shop, Shiva lied to him about the price. When Adhyayan checked with his friend, he learned that Shiva had pocketed Rs 700.

However he let that pass. Then he lost his digicam and it was found in Shiva's bag along with portfolio pictures.

Suman then asked Chauhan to return the phone he'd given him for official work. He discovered messages from and more pictures of wannabe actresses."

The source continues, "When prodded, Shiva admitted to having met these girls using Adhyayan's name and that he had taken money from them after promising them a role opposite Suman.

This went on for about five months before he was caught. On learning this, Shiva was sacked and the Sumans are trying to reach these girls to set the record right."

Adhyayan admits, " It was an unfortunate thing to have happened and we have discontinued his services. We have also called as many people on the list we found and could reach, to let them know that it was a scam."
