In an interview with mid-day, Aayush Sharma got candid about his personal life. The debut actor said that he is a huge fan of his father-in-law, Salim Khan's writings. But despite Aayush being Salim's son-in-law, he talks less with him out of respect. The actor further said: "I'll answer only what he has asked me. But when he came to watch the film, it was in my mind, and I was afraid whether he would love the film or not. If he doesn't like it, then it can be a bit of tensed situation. But I'm glad he liked the film."
Aayush also said: "What he says in our family is the final decision, which I, Salman, Sohail and Arbaaz, we all believe. He is strict, and suits him! He gave me a great advice and has also taught me so many things. If he thinks that I'm going in a wrong direction, he sits and explains it to me. So, I think Salim Sahab is a great person. It would be an honour to at least learn something from him."
Talking about his marriage with Salman Khan's sister, Arpita Khan, Aayush said: "When Arpita and I came into a relationship, Arpita said within a few days that her family wanted him to be settled. At that time, I was just 24. But then I thought, when I will be 30 and I'll think about marriage, Arpita will be already married to someone else at that time. What will I do? Arpita has always been the girl I wanted to marry. So, I thought, why should I apologize. And we decided to get married."
Aayush Sharma further said: "After marriage, when Arpita said that she's pregnant, I was scared initially. I wasn't aware of what will happen, because I am still struggling. What would I do if the audience does not accept my work? But Arpita said that every child brings his luck."

All elated about his movie release, Aayush couldn't stop talking about the producer and brother-in-law, Salman Khan! Aayush said: "The age gap between me and Salman Bhai is 25 years, and I share the same age difference with my son, Ahil. But now, both of us are growing up together. I am learning to be a father with Aahil. Many times, I think that Ahil is not my child, but a younger brother. The way I open up to my brother, I will try that when Abhil is big, then my behaviour remains the same with him."
