Why Shilpa flew off to London to be with Jade in her last moments

Setting aside all her work, Shilpa Shetty rushed to London on Sunday night to meet her Big Brother housemate, Jade Goody.

Doctors have given Jade, who is in the last stages of cervical cancer, a few days. Shilpa had a series of racially-charged run-ins with Jade during Big Brother.

But the actress has forgiven her and doesn't want to miss this last opportunity of being with Jade.

Futility of fights

According to Shilpa's friend, "Whatever happened between Shilpa and Jade was in the past. She can't believe how fast Jade's life has been devastated.

It has made her realise the futility of fights, rivalries and mundane bickering. Yes, she's been very keen to meet Jade for a while.

But was unable to make it because of her various commitments. But now there seems to be little choice. Either Shilpa rushes to meet Jade now or it will be too late."

Too personal

While finishing her last-minute chores before flying to London, Shilpa says, "I really don't want to say anything on this. It's too personal. But what has happened with Jade, is really sad."
