She certainly has many shades to her. We bet you didn't know that Sushmita Sen was also a painter. The actor who was the chief guest at the ongoing Masters of European Contemporary Art at Villa 39, Colaba, tells CS about her love for art:

Art attack
I really like the work of Anjolie Ela Menon and Paresh Maity. I also own a lot of Indraneil Kamath. Amongst the artists being showcased in this exhibition, I like Salvador Daliu00a0-- but I must admit being a lover of fine jewels, I am most impressed by his jewellery creations, they are absolutely extraordinary.

Paint my love
Art to me, is an expression of the self. The self stagnates unless it finds an avenue to exhale and express. Art is such a natural ability, that a child without any help from the mother, innately, reaches for paper and pencil to draw mountains, rivers, clouds and a rainbow.

I have yet to meet a child, including you and me, who isn't such an artist. Not only is art important for kids, kids are important to art.

Without them, the childlike quality of a Picasso would never touch so many lives. Art is an out for adults too. I enjoy painting and find it very therapeutic. Having said that, I don't paint to impress, I paint to express.

Shall we dance?
I favourite form of art would have to be dancing. It's like a painting that keeps changing expressions. I find mobility in art very beautiful and fascinating. In paintings, I like abstracts. They leave a lot to your imagination (smiles).
