Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji at Kuch Kuch Hota Hai`s fan screening
The audience attending the special screening of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai on Sunday was in for an unforgettable evening. Fans received a special surprise from director Karan Johar and actors Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji. After the curtains drew, the trio entered the theatre and interacted with the audience.
Pictures and videos from the screening went viral on social media. In one of the viral videos, Rani can be seen entering the theatre. She was dressed in a white and black saree. Shah Rukh followed her. While she was walking ahead of him, the superstar entered the screen holding her saree's pallu. Once she reached the stage, he gently placed the pallu on the floor.

Netizens showered love on the superstar and lauded him for being a gentleman. One person commented, "Gentleman hai yeh SRK Deko saree pakdi hui hai rani Mukarjee ki." A fan wrote, "Definition of "Gentleman"." One Instagram user wrote, "Ek he toh Dil hai SRK Bhai kitne baar jitoge." Another fan commented, "This is king khan things that's why he is the king." A user said, "How cute SRK looked holding that sari of Rani."
During the screening, Shah Rukh addressed the audience. He said, "Is film ka humare liye bahut hi important makaam hai humari zindagi mein, humare dilo mein. Aap log thoda bahut samajhte ho, pura nahi samjhoge kyunki kuch kuch hota hai (this film is a very important milestone in our lives and in our hearts. You people understand this to some extent but you cannot understand it fully because there is something that happens)."
He further shared, "Ab pata nahi love story karu ya nahi karu, ab jawan bachcho ko karne do (now I don't know if I should still do a love story, let's leave them for younger actors)."
Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was screened in theatres on Sunday as the film completed 25 years today. It released on October 16, 1998. The film was centered around Rahul (Shah Rukh Khan), Anjali (Kajol) and Tina (Rani Mukerji). Kuch Kuch Hota Hai got a limited re-release in Mumbai. The cost of the ticket was Rs. 25.
