Director Kabir Khan says former cricketer Kapil Dev and members of the 1983 World Cup winning squad will train Ranveer Singh in the game, for his forthcoming film, based on the victory.

In the outing, Singh will portray the role of Dev, under whose captaincy India won the World Cup. "Members of the 1983 WC squad will be helping us. They will be there as consultants and coaches for the team. The project will roll next year," said Khan.

The director also said he is confident that Singh will do justice to the role. "Ranveer will play according to the demand and requirement of the character. I have always admired him. He is a young boy with a lot of enthusiasm. His physicality is similar to that of Kapil Dev."
