Priyanka Chopra may be in the US shooting for Quantico, but she has stirred a hornet's nest in hometown Bareilly. She shifted to Mumbai 17 years ago after winning the Miss World crown in 2000, but her name still exists in local electoral rolls. With civic body elections due in the Uttar Pradesh city, seeing her name came as a surprise for local folk.

A complaint has been filed by a resident of Kuwarpur in Bareilly as PeeCee's name also figures in the voters' list in Mumbai. Though the Chopras no longer live in Bareilly, they own a house near the city's railway station, which remains locked. One of the candidates, Saurabh Saxena, has reportedly said he will approach PeeCee through Twitter and request the star to come and cast her vote. The actor's mother Madhu Chopra's name is also on the list.
