The advanced premiere of Homi Adajania's film, Finding Fanny, was scheduled to take place on August 25, but it has now been postponed to September as the film is yet to be certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Dinesh Vijan, producer of the film, says, "Yes, it's true.

We were planning to hold the premiere on August 25, but in lieu of the recent developments at CBFC, we don't want to take any chances."
It may be recalled here that after the trailer of the film garnered good reviews, the film's producers had decided to host the film's premiere 17 days before its actual release on September 12. As a result of this, the makers had to let go of the opportunity to premiere their film at the Toronto Film Festival.
A source says that after the recent arrest of CBFC CEO Rakesh Kumar, all work at the Censor Board has come to a standstill. "Keeping this in mind, it's perhaps wise on the makers' part to host Finding Fanny's premiere in September," says the source.
