Abhishek Bachchan says he will miss his parents badly on his birthday even as wife Aishwarya joined him last night to bring in his special day
Though Abhishek Bachchan will celebrate his 35th birthday today with wife Aishwarya (who is especially flying down to New Zealand to celebrate his birthday) along with his close friends, the two people he will miss a lot are his parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, this year.
Abhishek Bachchan will spend his 35th birthday in New Zealand filming for his upcoming thriller Players
He's feeling miserable as Abhishek's extremely attached to his family which includes sister Shweta. He is currently in NZ shooting for Abbas-Mastan's Players.
Talking about the occasion, Abhishek says, "I will miss my parents this time. They can't be here due to their prior obligations, and I too have my work commitments. I would have loved to spend my birthday with them. Lets see what happens."
The buzz is that the senior Bachchans might just fly down to join Abhishek in NZ for his birthday bash. Abhishek's close friends Rohan Sippy and Sikander Kher are also planning to join the birthday celebrations.
For junior B, his birthdays were always special.
Abhishek reminisces, "My birthday came during the winter when I was young and studying in Switzerland. There would be lot of skiing activity going around, which was a lot of fun. For the last three years I have been shooting on my birthday and this year too I'm back to my favorite place facing the camera for Players."
Aby baby is not particular about his birthday gifts. "Since childhood both my parents have been great at giving presents! I've never been very good at asking for gifts or knowing what I'd like, although I love presents. I guess I'll be happy with whatever I get this time too."
Abhishek will be working hard on this birthday. Although he loves water sports and all kinds of action sports, he hasn't had the opportunity to do it in New Zealand till now.
He says, "The weather is really unpredictable. So I haven't got the time to do any water sports yet. The shooting has to be worked around according to the weather conditions."
Crucial year
This year junior B will have to tone up for all his three action thrillers Game, Dum Maro Dum and Players, which is why the first thing he will do today after waking up is to hit the gym.
Abhishek adds, "I hate working out. Earlier, it wasn't a must for an actor to have 6-pack abs but now it is. We need to look presentable. This year I'm majorly doing action movies so I have to hit the gym everyday."
"For Game I had to learn a special form of martial arts and for Dum Maro Dum I had to undergo rigorous action
training.
I'm getting used to this so let's see what specific action training Abbas and Mustan have in store for me for Players."
Abhishek adds that his fitness regime isn't tough.
"I start with half an hour of cardio everyday, then extensive stretching for 15 minutes, followed by circuit training one body part a day-light weights and finally high repetitions-to keep the heart rate up.

I do more aerobics as opposed to body building exercises."
