Mumbai: Producers of 'Fukrey' Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani today paid tribute to actor Ashraf-Ul-Haq.

The 45-year-old actor, who starred in 'Traffic Signal' and 'Black Friday' and 'Fukrey', died yesterday. Ashraf is survived by his wife and nine-year-old son. Read more
"Ashraful, who portrayed 'Smackiya' in Fukrey passed away. Much too young to be gone. Tragic. Deepest condolences to his family," Farhan posted on Twitter.
In 'Fukrey', he played the character of a drunkard who had loads of money but lived like a beggar on streets. The hit 2013 film also starred Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Ali Fazal and Varun Sharma.
"Shocked to hear about Ashraf. He played the part of smakiya in #Fukrey. Strength and courage to his wife and little one. RIP," tweeted Ritesh. An National School of Drama graduate, Ashraf was in 1997 batch with actor Raajpal Yadav.
"Sad to hear about the passing away of one of my NSD batchmate, Ashraf due to an illness. His passing away has left a void in the lives n ?#?hearts? of all those who loved him... May his soul RIP!," Yadav wrote.
The Assam-born actor was last seen in national award-winning film 'The Lost Behrupiya' (2013), where he played the lead role.
