'Dilwale' has around 2,500-3,000 screens across the country at the moment while 'Bajirao Mastani' has approximately 1,800-2,000 screens. 'Bajirao Mastani' is very strong in single screens while 'Dilwale' has captured all major multiplexes. The marketing and distribution of the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer is very aggressive, but both films will surely get visibility."
According to trade expert Taran Adarsh, "It is too early to comment on screen sharing as it's an on-going process and will only get finalised in the release week. So let's not put any numbers out. I feel both the films will have an equal share, but yes the business will definitely be divided."
Distributor and exhibitor Akshaye Rathi says, "The screen count for both films is getting bigger and better. There still are a number of screens to be booked. The permutations and combinations are being worked out in every territory across the country. So while several figures are doing the industry rounds, I assure you that screen count wouldn't be in place even three days prior to the release of both films." He adds, "Its an on-going process where everyone is trying for an optimal showcase. Right now. 'Dilwale' has an of an upper hand with over 2,500 screens while 'Bajirao Mastani' has just under 2,000 screens across the country."
