South Indian actress Aishwarya Arjun, daughter of Arjun Sarja, often known as Kollywood's action king, tied the knot with Umapathy Ramaiah, son of actor-turned-director Thambi Ramaiah.
To mark their wedding vows, Aishwarya Arjun and Umapathy Ramaiah took their pheras around the sacred fire, exchanged vows, and celebrated their love in the most authentic way possible, surrounded by family and close friends.
Paying homage to time-honoured tradition, modern-day bride Aishwarya chose an exquisite Kanchivaram saree. She was resplendent in a red, her favourite shade in a saree crafted by Gaurang Shah, intricately embroidered with scenes depicting the coronation ceremony of Lord Ram.
Umapathy complemented in a traditional Panchakacham attire by Kanakavalli
The wedding was followed by a custom traditional menu curated by Madhampatty, inspired by the culinary heritage of the Cholla dynasty.
Drawing inspiration from "Nithya Vaibhavam”, the wedding decor celebrates Aishwarya and Umapathy's South Indian heritage. Set in a Hanuman temple, solicitously built by Aishwarya’s dad, the decor tells the tale of Rama and Sita.
Their love story is a beautiful narrative of two creative souls coming together, both supporting each other's dreams and ambitions.
The haldi ceremony was a close-knit event at Aishwarya’s home with traditional customs, where she wore a simple white kurta. The vibrant yellow decor theme 'Cover Me in Sunshine' sets the perfect backdrop.
The couple hosted an intimate mehendi ceremony at Aishwarya's Chennai residence. Aishwarya looked beautiful in a vibrant yellow Anamika Khanna outfit. Traditional decor-themed 'The Sky Turned Pink' was a dreamy setup with a special Agra chaat.
The couple incidentally met on the reality show ‘Survivor’ hosted by Arjun. Aishwarya will soon be seen in her Telugu debut movie, stepping into a new realm with a role that showcases her versatility. Umapathy recently debuted as a director with ‘Rajakili’ and is now planning his next directorial movie.
