Father's Day 2024: From Boney Kapoor to Saif Ali Khan, when star fathers embarrassed their kids on national TV

On Father's Day, we look at some hilarious moments of star fathers when they let their unfiltered thoughts get the best of them and leave their kids embarassed on national television:

Boney and Janhvi Kapoor:

Janhvi Kapoor is an actress and elder daughter of producer Boney Kapoor and late Sridevi. The father-daughter duo had appeared together on The Kapil Sharma Show in 2022 to promote their film 'Mili'. On the show, Boney spilled some secrets about his daughter. He said, "Iske kamre mai jab mai subah jaata hoon, toh kapde bikhare hote hai, toothpaste khula hota hai, mujhe jaakr band karni padhti hai" (Whenever I enter her room in the morning, her clothes are lying here and there, the toothpaste's cap is off, I have to put the cap on it)." Boney concluded by saying, "Thankfully, flush khud kar leti (She flushes on her own)." Immediately Janhvi screams, "Papa!" in embarrassment and Kapil started laughing.

Sara and Saif Ali Khan:

Before the release of her debut film 'Kedarnath', Sara Ali Khan appeared on Karan Johar's chat show Koffee With Karan with her father and actor Saif Ali Khan. On the show, Saif revealed the questions he would ask Sara's potential fiance. He noted, "Political views, drugs and views on infidelity. " KJo intervened, "Money would be a good question to ask." At this point Saif said, "Got cash? Take her!"

Later, during the Rapid Fire, Sara revealed that she would like to date Ranbir Kapoor, but marry Kartik Aaryan. Saif asked, "Does he have money?" Later he reiterated, "If you have money, take her!"

Saif's words left Sara shocked and she immediately said: "You have to stop saying that, it's wrong..."

Dharmendra and Bobby Deol:

Bobby and Dharmendra had appeared together on Koffee With Karan in the latest season. On the show, a message from Dharmendra was played for the Deol brothers. In the video, Dharmendra was seen touching on the subject of Bobby's alcohol consumption and also referred to him as 'chaalu'. Dharmendra said in the pre-recorded message, "Bobby kuch baatein chhupa jaata hai, Sunny ka pata chal jaata hai. Bobby thoda sa chalu hai, batata nahi. Main usse kai zyaada karta tha, kabhi sutta, kabhi (drink). I can't tell him to not drink, because I used to do it myself, but I still say it (Bobby hides things from me, Sunny is easier to read. But Bobby doesn't know that I was much worse when I was his age, I'd smoke, I'd drink, but he hides it from me)."

While his messages left Bobby in tears, he later expressed shock at his father calling 'chalu' publicly.
