As the brand marks its anniversary with a month-long celebration of Chikan craftsmanship, the Begum of Pataudi aka Kareena Kapoor Khan exudes elegance in an ivory hand-embroidered kurta and a Chikankari dupatta.

The outfit is accented with shimmering sequins, pearls, and stones.

Photographed in 2011 for Abu Sandeep’s book India Fantastique, these images of Nita and Isha Ambani showcase the ethereal beauty of Chikankari.

Nita Ambani has consistently championed Abu Sandeep's work with this cherished embroidery technique

This 1996 photoshoot with actress Shabana Azmi took place soon after the Chikan exhibition in Delhi. In a bold move for an industry focused on youth, Abu Sandeep added grey streaks to Shabana’s hair and styled her as a contemporary Maharani.

She wore an off-white organza saree adorned with Chikan buttis and Badla embroidery throughout, with the border made of real gold.

In 2018, Rhea Kapoor chose a Chikankari outfit by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for Sonam’s Mehendi ceremony.

She looked stunning in an ivory Chikan lehenga, beautifully embellished with silver and gold accents.

Shweta Bachchan, a constant muse for Abu Sandeep, stunned in white—a rare bridal choice in the 90s. Draped in intricately hand-embroidered Chikankari, she set a lasting trend with her elegant look.

In this memorable photoshoot, Shweta shines in a white Chikankari outfit paired with Jaya Bachchan. Shweta’s outfit features real silver and antique gota borders with Zardozi embroidery along the hem. Jayaji’s Chikan saree showcases intricate jaali work with Tagar flower motifs. For her special day, Shweta added a veil made from real Tagar flowers to match her mother’s saree.

In 1995, Abu Sandeep unveiled their first Chikan collection at Delhi’s Oberoi Hotel. The collection, which took two years of dedication and experimentation to perfect, brought their vision to life.

Dimple Kapadia modelled a garment from the debut Chikan collection.

Abu Sandeep have a close friendship with Amrita Singh and even designed her wedding attire. She also appears in their book, India Fantastique. Pictured above is her photoshoot with Sara, where Chikankari is beautifully paired with brocade, Badla-Resham, and Zardozi for a mesmerizing effect.
