Exclusive | Uorfi Javed: ‘I don't need Cannes to show my talent’

Uorfi Javed has become a social media sensation. The actress has been impressing the world with her amazing and unique outfits. Whether making an outfit out of phones or creating a dress out of prints, she has done it all with remarkable excellence. As the world witnesses the glamour of the film industry on the Met Gala and Cannes red carpet, Uorfi, in conversation with mid-day.com, talked about how she feels she can do a better job. The actress also rated a few Indian actresses' Cannes looks.

Uorfi started the conversation by sharing how she came up with the idea of creating these unique outfits. The actress said some of her outfits are based on inspiration, while others are the result of her own imagination. Uorfi said, "Sometimes, like today's outfit, where the birds were moving, I was inspired by Cinderella. Like in the scene where the birds make her an outfit. Yeah. So, in my mind, I thought if we merge the dress Angelina Jolie wore in Maleficent with Cinderella's outfit in a cute way, what could we create? That was the inspiration."

Further, when asked if she feels that she could have done a better job, the actress shared, "I would've killed it. I would've, oh my God, you can't even imagine. If something like this happened to me, I would kill it. I don't need Cannes to show my talent. I will show it in my India."

While talking about all the unique and heavy outfits she has made so far, Uorfi said that there are a lot more coming. "I'm gonna go crazy. In these next two or three months, you're gonna see some crazy outfits," she added.

Further in the chat, Uorfi called digital creator Nancy Tyagi's outfit a big 10 out of 10 and expressed her wish to have Nancy design one of her outfits. "I've spoken to her a lot of times. That would be sweet. We've spoken about a collaboration many times. But now she's very busy, She doesn't have time," Uorfi jokingly said.

While rating everyone out of 10, Uorfi rewarded Preity Zinta an 11/10, while Aishwarya Rai's green dress only managed to get a 7. It was Aditi Rao Hydari's black and white gown that made Uorfi say she would definitely want to try it.
