Now, Janhvi Kapoor openly admitted to wearing rented clothes, considering it her way of promoting sustainability.
Janhvi Kapoor on 'renting' clothes
Appearing on Mashable India's 'The Bombay Journey' session, Janhvi opened up about how she wears clothes which are taken on 'Bhada' aka rent. She expressed, "Whenever the stylists call for clothes, they're mostly rented. The shoes and rings are mine but the necklace and bracelets are not mine. The shirt is also not mine. Bhaade ke hain!"

While clarifying that the outfits are customised for her, she has to return it once an event is over with, "Of course, these are customised for me, but they've all been rented. This entire look is put together by renting clothes and accessories. In sabko lautana padta hai (We have to return them) Does that qualify as being sustainable?" she asked.
"I repeat clothes. Mera ek night suit hai which I refuse to let go of. It has the face of my favourite embossed on it," she further divulged.

Describing the look, stylist Ami Patel wrote, "A traditional kanjivaram saree with a hand painted cricket detail. The pallu depicts a batsman scoring a boundary in a full stadium, 1983 when India won he World Cup, in the traditional warli style of painting. The evolution of the cricket bat is also highlighted flanked by the foundational cricket jargon".
