Maitreya Dadashreeji

In a deeply spiritual conversation, Maitreya Dadashreeji, a visionary humanitarian, transformation pioneer, and founder of the MaitriBodh Parivaar, talks about the vision behind the Maitri Mahotsav. This global festival celebrates the universal message of love and unity, empowering individuals and communities to embrace spirituality, address mental health, and uplift rural societies. With initiatives like Chinta-Mukt Bharat and Maitri Adarsh Gram, Dadashreeji aims to create a harmonious world where cultures converge and societal transformation begins.

1) What is the vision behind the Maitri Mahotsav, and how does it aim to unite people from across the globe? Also, what role does spirituality play in this gathering?

Vision of the Global Maitri Festival

Through Global Maitri Festival, we bring together individuals who believe in the power of friendship. Our aim is to share our vision and educate people about our message of one world, one family. We guide individuals on what actions to take in the times ahead.

GMF will unite people across the globe

Our message of love and peace is profoundly powerful; it has the ability to connect hearts and unite a world divided by different cultures, regions and religions. Love is the source of creation and we help people realize this higher truth. Love is the universal language of the heart and it is only a matter of time before people recognize it and radiate that love. When love becomes the guiding force in our day-to-day activities, people gradually come together, creating a world that feels like one family.

Role of Spirituality in GMF

You may refer to it as Love, Peace, or Maitri-these are all spiritual qualities. However, people will not truly experience the power of love by just talking about it. We are all rightful descendants of a rich spiritual legacy our country has but how many of us acknowledge this and act accordingly? As part of MaitriBodh Parivaar, we have recognized the true value of spirituality. Therefore, we understand that we can help people uncover spiritual truths.

2) Rural empowerment is an integral part of MaitriBodh Parivaar's social work. Maitri Adarsh Gram the project entirely focuses on that. What's your vision with this initiative?

Often, villages in India remain neglected or misled under the guise of development. While we believe that all sectors of society should thrive, it is crucial to ensure that village cultures, which have been cherished for generations, are not diluted. If the essence of village culture is lost to comforting technology, it will be challenging to revive it later. Through our program, we provide basic facilities, medical assistance and employment opportunities while ensuring that local culture remains intact.

We have successfully addressed water crises faced by these communities during the summer months and resolved numerous health issues free of cost. As part of our efforts, we are working on building around 32 check dams to ensure year-round water restoration, along with conducting regular medical checkups for all. Just two days ago, in a landmark initiative for the district, we provided Jaipur Foot prosthetics to over 100 individuals in need, conducted eye checkups for more than 825 people, and facilitated urgent cataract surgeries for serious cases.

Our aim is to uplift lives and foster collective growth as ONE. We invite everyone to join hands in empowering the nearby villages, contributing to a brighter and more inclusive future for all.

3) What are the key highlights of this year's Maitri Mahotsav that attendees can look forward to, and what makes this year's event particularly significant?

People in large numbers gather to celebrate the message of friendship. Representatives from various religions share their perspectives on our vision of One World, One Family. Maitreya Dadashreeji will be guiding participants and outlining the way forward. We will share both spiritual and practical remedies aimed at improving mental well-being, along with conducting an intense session focusing on spiritual awakening.

4) Can you elaborate on the new initiative, Chinta-Mukt Bharat (CMB), and how it will be integrated into this year's Maitri Mahotsav to address mental health on a large scale?

The pain and suffering people experience often originate in the mind. Many of us are unaware of the mental issues that cause distress until it is too late to address them. This distress can manifest as a virus of worry, tension and anxiety, leading to depression, restlessness, procrastination, indecisiveness and uncontrolled anger. Through CMB, we aim to alleviate this pain and reduce current suffering by introducing practical and spiritual methods under medical supervision. Our goal is to empower individuals through a well-structured, integrated program that does not disrupt standard medical protocols, ensuring mental well-being for all participants.

This year's GMF will include a spiritual remedy as well as a new practical method for individuals at home to benefit from our CMB program.

5) How does this event serve as a bridge between different cultures and communities around the world? And, how do you see Maitri Mahotsav influencing global spiritual movements and societal change?

The message we share is about the heart which everyone possesses. Here, unity through love heals divided hearts and connects individuals across the globe. After interacting with people worldwide, you realize that the challenges they face are often similar-personal hardships, constant worry and a lack of purpose contribute to unhappiness and frustration. By effectively addressing the common root causes of these issues, people reconnect with their true nature: love and peace. Love has the ability to heal and unite everyone and everything.

In a short period, we have successfully raised awareness among a global audience about the necessity of spiritual transformation and the importance of coming together as one family. Each year, large crowds gather and many others watch online. They grasp our message and return to their communities to implement it. They share the positive impacts of their actions with us and how their surroundings change.

Prominent institutions also participate in our program, including an international spiritual council based in Geneva, which consists of like-minded organizations. The messages shared at GMF spread across the globe through our family members and numerous institutions, creating a ripple effect. Though the impact may take time, we are confident it will bring about the changes we wish to see in the world.
