Pretty Jammu Girl Manisha Singh Rajput
Hard work, sincerity of purpose with unperturbed focus and an an indefatigable zeal to win are not just highsounding terminologies, they are hallmarks of Manisha Singh Rajput, the gorgeous and superbly talented model-actress and former Miss India Jammu & Kashmir winner with a mission!
So, what made Manisha to come to Mumbai? "I came to Mumbai at the right time after my education as education is always very important to pursue a career in acting, and nothing but acting only," said Manisha (who has a theatre background) as a matter of fact.
But wasn't she aware of the fact that behind the glamour and glitter for which Mumbai is well-known for, there's a lot of struggles (which at times may be frustrating) and competition among newcomers particularly those who do not have a Godfather?
"Yes, I know. But for a determined mind no competition is enough. My destiny is mine and theirs' destiny is theirs'. Ultimately, it's the best that will stay in the race and win the race! Otherwise, we wouldn't have got Karthik Aryan, Sushant Singh Rajput, Raj Kumar Rao or Pankaj Tripathi," said Manisha at length with lot of inner confidence adding, sensibly, "And competition is in every field, not just in Bollywood. It's how you look at the competition and make strategies to overcome obstacles and go ahead in life."
Daughter of a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer, Manisha's education started in Military School Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Udhampur, interestingly she studied Bachelor of Science in Jammu and Kashmir University and then did Master of Arts in English!Wow!
Ask her how she relaxes after a hard day's work and lots of running around meeting producers, directors and casting directors, Manisha said that she goes to gym regularly, listens to good music, have a cup of tea and meet few nice friends who have positive frame of mind. "I also sing, read biographies, play basketball, do cooking and love to go for long drive (she drives herself)," Manisha added.
When you ask out of curiosity who's her idol, a smiling Manisha immediately replies without batting an eyelid, "Aishwarya Rai, of course whom I used to admire in my childhood. She is an epitome of beauty, she is educated, an Indian who won Miss World title, she is classy and her journey has been beautiful."
