Anjuman-e-Islam
Anjuman I Islam, Mumbai, is India's largest Minority Non Profit Organisation functioning over the last 150+ years for the upliftment of the down trodden, Out of School Children and under privileged children and youths, dedicating itself to the motto âNo student should be deprived of education for lack of funds' and providing them Quality education at either no cost or lowest possible cost as required.
This mission of Anjuman I Islam is based on its belief that the only solution to the myriad problems faced by the community is education, education and more education.
In the year 2024-25, it provided free education, transportation, uniforms and books to over 3000 students, spending over Rs. 5 Crores, after detailed scrutiny of the economic background of the students including home visits by its volunteers, as required. In addition, it has through internal teams, guided and supported many other students to apply and avail of the Government scholarships running into another over 10 Crores. Many of these students have on the basis of this support, exceled in their professional careers and became achievers and contributors to the Community, Society and the Country.
The needs of the community are much beyond what has already been done and the amounts so far spent are much lower as compared to the needs.
In this holy month of Ramadan, Anjuman I Islam has come out with an appeal to generously donate large funds to this mission and to make each Rupee contributed by our esteems readers count in the upliftment of the Community.
Many recipient organisations of Zakaat and donations spend part of the funds in administration of the Charity. At Anjuman I Islam, every single Rupee contributed by the donors goes to fulfil the intention of the donors for benefiting the needy and not a single Rupee is allocated to either the cost of collection or for administration. Anjuman I Islam bears this entire cost out of its own resources.
