With a string of prestigious awards and accolades adorning her portfolio, she stands as a beacon of creativity and talent. Recently, Ms. Sinha's exceptional work titled "Environment" received the esteemed Gold award in the 3x3 International Illustration Annual No.19. This recognition catapults her among the top illustrators globally, securing her a coveted spot in the publication and online gallery of 3x3 magazine.
We had the privilege of sitting down with Ms. Sinha to discuss her journey, inspirations, and the significance of her recent achievements.
Q: Congratulations on receiving the Gold award in the 3x3 International Illustration Annual No.19! How does it feel to be recognized among the top illustrators worldwide?
Ms. Sinha: Thank you! It's truly an honor to receive this recognition. Being acknowledged alongside such talented artists is incredibly humbling and motivating. It inspires me to continue pushing the boundaries of my creativity and craftsmanship.
Q: Your illustration, "Environment," certainly captures attention. Could you tell us more about the inspiration behind this piece?
Ms. Sinha: "Environment" is a reflection of my deep concern for our planet's well-being. I wanted to convey the beauty of nature juxtaposed with the threats it faces from human activity. Through vibrant colors and intricate details, I aimed to evoke a sense of urgency and appreciation for our environment. People get very somber when it comes to environmentalism, so I tried using the story of a cat and an owl looking for a perfect location to get married, as a way to break the tension and add humor to education.
Q: Your achievements extend beyond the 3x3 International Illustration Annual. Could you share your experiences with other notable awards, such as the Bronze Award in the Illustration West competition and the Editorial Merit Award at the iJungle Illustration Awards?
Ms. Sinha: Each award holds a special place in my heart and represents different facets of my artistic journey. The Bronze Award at Illustration West was particularly gratifying as it recognized my illustration "Tadoba," which celebrates the majesty of wildlife in a place my family holds very dear to our heart: Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve. I've always wanted to tell stories and pull people's attention towards lesser known marvels right in India, so having the opportunity to generate interest about this maharashtrian wonder to audiences worldwide has been a privilege. Similarly, the Editorial Merit Award at the iJungle Illustration Awards validated my ability to convey complex ideas through visual storytelling. This time instead of using humor this project had a more serious take on the impacts of single use plastic.

Q: Your versatility as an artist is evident in your contributions to projects like the "Ammus Chants" video series. How do you balance traditional illustration with more contemporary mediums like video production?
Ms. Sinha: For me, creativity knows no bounds. Whether it's illustrating on canvas or crafting visuals for a video series, I approach each project with the same passion and dedication. While the mediums may differ, the underlying principles of storytelling and visual communication remain constant. It's all about adapting to the project's requirements while staying true to my artistic vision.
Q: Your work on the "Ammus Chants" series has garnered widespread acclaim and numerous awards. How does it feel to see your art making a positive impact on children and families?
Ms. Sinha: It's incredibly rewarding. Knowing that my illustrations contribute to a project that brings joy and educational value to children is immensely fulfilling. Art has the power to inspire, educate, and unite people, and I'm grateful to be able to harness that power through projects like "Ammus Chants."
Q: Looking ahead, what are your aspirations for the future?
Ms. Sinha: My journey as an artist is an ongoing exploration. I aspire to continue pushing my creative boundaries, collaborating with like-minded individuals, and using my art as a catalyst for positive change. Whether it's raising awareness about environmental issues or advocating for social causes, I hope to make a meaningful impact through my work.
